LAPTOP

Students are supplied with a Laptop in Year 7 and Year 10 as part of the fee schedule. Due to software licensing, security, consistency, and compliance, families are not able to supply their own. The Laptop remains the property of Catholic College Wodonga, and is to be returned upon exiting the college in good working order. The Laptop is renewed at the end of Year 9 at which time the previous Laptop is to be returned in good working order.

CO-SIGNING FORMS

Before a laptop can be issued, ICT Services requires a co-signed form. Each family will be emailed a personalised ‘Hire a College Owned Laptop’ User Agreement by ICT Services to be signed.

ICT USAGE POLICY

Our ICT Usage Policy is on our website for parents/carers and students to access.
We value teaching children how to use ICT appropriately, without disadvantaging others. During personal learning time, and in class we cover appropriate online etiquette, digital technology literacy, managing the technology, understanding ethics and the law, knowing how to stay safe online, and the impact on health that too many hours of screen time can have. This education also occurs in the Learning Mentor Program.

INSURANCE

Laptops are insured. Families are liable to pay a charge of $200 for any accidental damage to the device, with this charge increasing to $300 for a second incidence of accidental damage and $400 for a third incident. There is no charge for warranty repairs.
