Sir John Jones master class

Almost 500 educators from primary and secondary schools from NSW and Victoria were inspired by Sir John Jones at a professional development conference hosted by our College yesterday.

Sir John, based in northern England, was knighted in 2003 for services to education. He spoke to teachers from Yarrawonga, Benalla, Myrtleford, Albury, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Rutherglen, Corryong, Chiltern and Cobram about where he sees education heading.

He reinforced that ‘change is mandatory but growth is optional’. He used wonderful, emotionally laden stories to explain his philosophy, how we can problem solve within our schools, and ultimately and creates change in young people’s lives.

The event was hosted by us and presented by the Country Education Partnership.
