Literacy Specialist

 

We currently have a new opportunity available as the College’s Literacy Specialist, in an ongoing full-time position. You will work with groups of students in lessons to improve literacy outcomes and work with classroom teachers to build capacity in instructional literacy practice to support literacy growth across the College.

 

As the Literacy Specialist you will be working towards successfully improving teacher pedagogy and student achievement in literacy. A Position Description is attached for your perusal.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
  • Proven track record of improving student literacy outcomes.
  • Ability to source, interpret and report on literacy data and trends.
  • A demonstrated understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission
