Country Students Transition

A great turnout of Year 6 children from throughout our region today to our latest transition event.

Coordinated by our Wellbeing and Catholic Identity teams, 31 children (58% of invitees) from Albury, Bethanga, Osbornes Flat, Rutherglen, Chiltern, Bandiana, Kiewa, Baranduda, Mt Beauty, Tallangatta, Thurgoona and North Albury visited from 8.45 – 10.10am.

They sat in Chapel, played ‘icebreaker’ games with ADF students, and paused to eat bacon and egg muffins for morning tea.

They finished with a tour of the new Science building, Wellbeing Office and the Arts Centre – reminding them where to go for Orientation Day!

Thanks to our ADF students for their enthusiastic assistance, and to staff for their help.

Every new student is also invited to our Horizon Showcase on Wednesday 5 December, in the Mercy Centre from 6 – 7.15pm. A great chance to see where their special interests can take you at Catholic College!

Our final transition event for the 2019 Year 7 cohort, is Orientation Day, Tuesday 11 December.

Families are reminded that the Year 6s are to go straight to the Arts Centre when they arrive at 8.45am.

Our media and publications officer Hayley Neves created this snapshot of the morning.
