Fantastic effort from our Horizon students this term!
Fourteen students across Years 8 – 10 unanimously decided that their team based, semester long project would help drought stricken farmers across NSW and Queensland. A trivia night where all monies raised would go to the Buy A Bale Foundation.
Our students sourced prizes, arranged entertainment, publicised and ran most aspects of the event by themselves.
The result was $1800, a result that exceeded expectations.
We thank Horizon coordinator, Logan Hayward, for supporting students during the planning and implementation of the trivia night.
Horizon is the College’s individualised learning program. It runs twice a year, over one semester. If you would like to find out more about how students with a special interest, apply to and join Horizon, come to the Showcase on Wednesday 5 December, from 6 – 7.15pm, in the Mercy Centre.
